About Dr. Penny
Rev. Dr. Penny Njoroge grew up in Kenya at a time when girls in her family were not allowed to go to school, and she fought to get there. Since coming to Birmingham in 2000, she has served as a hospital, trauma and hospice chaplain, led therapy as Lead Psychologist in an 80+ bed behavioral health center, and earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Christian Counseling Psychology. Today she offers in-office and telehealth counseling in her own private practice.
Her approach is simple: help and support you, never judge you, and walk with you at whatever pace healing requires. Your confidentiality is always respected.
